Samsung is set to launch two different versions of its new flagship phone, one of the two designs will have a screen that curves round its sides. The Galaxy S6 Edge will use the feature to provide a quick way to stay in touch with select contacts, and to alert owners of important information. It will be priced higher than the standard S6 version, which has all the same specification just without the curved screen.
Ikea has unveiled a variety of furniture which is fitted with wireless charging spots for mobile devices. This allows you to charge your phone around your home using the Home Smart range which will initially include items such as lamps, bedside tables and coffee tables. Charging pads can be placed on any surface throughout the home and office environment. Ikea has used the wireless charging standard QI, which is also supported by Samsung in its latest handset, the S6.

We were happy to kick off this year's series of Internet Leaders Dinner with the lovely Gracia Amico, CEO of PetsPyjamas.com. For those who are not familiar with the brand, PetsPyjamas is the UK number one lifestyle website for smart pet owners, that not only provides a vast range of pet accessories and services, but can also arrange pet-friendly holidays suggesting hundreds of hotels where pets are more than welcome. The sector is growing exponetially as a social phenomenon- Pet owners are increasingly treating their cats and dogs like members of their family and the commercialisation of this trend seems like a natural path to follow for retailers. The company started a few years ago selling only accessories, which is a low margin business but then they found an opportunity to enhance the company further by adding in pet friendly travel services.
The first tip that she gave to the interested audience was to take care of the customers- it is hard work and it might be expensive, but it's definitely worth it! PetsPyjamas for example treat their customers and their beloved pets by placing a personalised gift box full of accessories, with a picture of the pet on top of it into the hotel room that they booked. That said, personalisation is another big thing- one of the aims of PetsPyjamas in the last few years is to create a community where customers can post the pictures of their holidays or where they can even help a charity by adopting a pet! All this was possible thanks to a smart strategy of customer care, approaching pet friendly hotels and sealing good deals with them. What is in store for PetsPyjamas in the future? The market is so broad and the competition is really high so they will have to keep on focusing on customer relations and on building the community, this is their main differenciator. A possible step is to create their own products and maybe, why not something related to a movie? We would like to thank all the guests for attending the event and Gracia Amico for all the brilliant insights. A big thank you to our partners Oban Digital and FaR Partners for making the dinner possible.
