Hi
The online retail giant Amazon is in the process of buying Whole Foods for $13.7bn (£10.7bn). The deal will be its largest push into traditional retailing to date and with just last week, Majestic Wine, reporting that over half its sales in the year until April 3rd were multichannel, they and Misguided are the only ones reverse engineering!.

Ecommerce Club Working Lunch London: AR Customer Buying Experiences
Wednesday July 12th, London
Reports are increasingly suggesting that retailers are not meeting the expectations of consumers when it comes to in-store tech. A recent study found that one in five shoppers want augmented reality changing rooms when shopping online to help them find perfect clothing items. This technology allows users to virtually overlay clothing onto their digital selves to ‘try on’ different outfits. AR changing rooms are a growing trend among retailers, with high street brands such as Topshop and Gap already trialling the new technology. Today Ecommerce Club Partner OSF Commerce will be demonstrating its innovative solutions for retail including LIVE Style Studio and SMART Fitting Room - two technologies that make shopping easier and more fun by combining in-store and online experiences.
Who should attend: Heads of Ecommerce or Customer Experience or equivalent at fashion and high street retailers, no agencies please
