Creating the Ultimate Customer Journey

August is always a little quiet but with September just around the corner, we wanted to let you know about some events that you should definitely take some time out of the office for.

If you are interested in Creating the Ultimate Customer Journey for your clients then join us on our roadshow across the UK, we’re stopping in - Manchester, Dublin and London this September. At these one one day conferences supported by our partners RackspaceSLI Systems, Feefo and dotMailer

We will focus on how creating the best journey for your customers can involve many different internal and external factors and how bringing them together effectively can be tough going.

Knowing the route to a successful customer experience can boost your time and your ROI, whether it be user hosting, hybrid technology, connecting shoppers to products to accelerate e-commerce revenues, best practice on delivery and returns or an introduction to Facebook and reviews, at these events we touch on all these things to help you create the ultimate customer journey for your brand.

Creating a Digital Transformation plan

Digital Transformation is a focus for many organisations right now and as you can see from the Google Trends search volumes, it’s increasing in popularity recently.

Digital Transformation is a focus for many organisations right now and as you can see from the Google Trends search volumes, it’s increasing in popularity recently. As with any change within an organisation, there are many challenges ,so once you’ve identified digital advocates in the organisation, it’s time to map out the journey.

In recent months, several companies have mentioned to me that their CEO is committed to digital but they’re having challenges at middle management levels, where it’s harder to gain commitment. This can be easier if there is a clear plan shared with all. You can, as many do, call this your digital roadmap, it describes where the business is now and where they’re going. There are several models available, for example, Dave Chaffey recommends the Carnegie Mellon Capability Maturity model (CMM) in his post ‘Using capability maturity models to review effectiveness and set targets for Digital Transformation‘ Interestingly he describes the early internet age which is less than twenty years ago, when many companies had claimed their domain name yet the website was ‘under construction’. At that time many CEOs I was working with could not see why they needed a website when they had fantastic brochures, sales teams on the road and great PR contacts!

In the UK we Spend More time using Tech than sleeping

We brits are spending more time using technology devices than actually being asleep, research suggests.

When you add watching the TV and listening to the radio, this jumps up by another four hours, the poll also suggested that the younger audience of 16-24 year olds are likely to do more than one task at a time and are squeezing  in 14 hours and 7 minutes of media activity into each day. We seem to spend a lot of time consuming media with more and more consumers becoming tech confident, online retail is set to rise tenfold over the coming years
Private Messaging Function Added to Pinterest

The social discovery platform Pinterest has added a new function which will enable users to chat in a private window.

Users can start conversations by sending a pin attached to a video or image to another user and can add a message, future messages don’t need to be pinned, users will also be able to send group messages. Pinterest hopes its messaging function will differ from other social media offerings by making users chat about specific Pins they have shared. Spy agencies hit in cyber espionage campaign

Security researchers at Kaspersky Lab say that they have uncovered a cyber espionage operation that successfully penetrated two spy agencies

Security researchers at Kaspersky Lab say that they have uncovered a cyber espionage operation that successfully penetrated two spy agencies and hundreds of government and military targets in Europe and the Middle East during the first half of this year. It has said that hackers were likely backed by a nation state and used techniques and tools similar to ones employed in two other high-profile cyber espionage operations that Western intelligence sources have linked to the Russian government.
