The latest research from Nielsen reported three key takeaways on video trends that can help brands deliver strong content, which also resonates with and builds audiences:

1. Branded content can drive higher brand recall and brand lift than pre-roll
2. When viewers enjoy content, they view the integrated brands more favorably

Instagram rolls out business profiles to increase advertiser insight
Instagram has launched a new set of tools, called ‘business profiles’ intended to help advertisers stand out on the platform. The new profiles come with ‘contact’ buttons, a mobile analytics suite and the ability to promote its posts to user’s newsfeeds using Facebooks ad experience.

Personalised marketing: Untapped potential “in over 50% of consumers”

A recent study from Amaze One shows that brands need to fine tune the balance between personalisation and personal invasion. The study suggests that 70 per cent of consumers are concerned about the way personal information is collected and only 18 per cent feel they have some degree of control over it. Data sharing is done on a value exchange basis and brands need to work harder to make it work.

Digital is the fastest-growing advertising medium in the UK – worth £8.6 billion, up 16.4 per cent year-on-year and accounting for about 43 per cent of the total UK ad market. Despite Brexit concerns, the IAB reports forecasts of just above and below 4 per cent growth for 2016 and 2017.
